How To Draw Hummingbirds And Flowers
Hummingbirds are a various and fascinating family unit, with the important ecological function as pollinators, peculiarly in the tropics where both flowering plants and hummers reach their greatest biological variety.
In N America, hummingbirds visit and pollinate such flowers as the trumpet honeysuckle, ruby beebalm, lemon beebalm, wild bergamot, central flower, and trumpet creeper, columbine also equally native salvias.
I've been lucky in my travels to see and draw such colorful hummers similar the Violet Sabrewings in Honduras, Red-billed Streamertails in Jamaica, Booted Noise-tails in Republic of peru, and Magnificent Hummingbirds in Arizona. As yous tin can encounter, hummingbird names are every bit whimsical as their behavior. The big tropical species are often named for their bright iridescent coloration, for example, the jewelfront, shining sunbeam, starfrontlet and amethyst-throated sunangel. With names like that who wouldn't exist absorbed and enchanted by these energetic and entertaining birds?
